as a dignified institution. Those days are gone. I remember when I was a kid many institutions were regarded as dignified, to be held in respect. No more. A lot of things are gone now, never to return.

yet I know that there were plenty of crazies who thought Warren was the devil incarnate.
The "Impeach Earl Warren" signs were around.
