Nancy P. Is Filing A FOIA For FBI Kav Papers

“On Saturday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced she planned to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to obtain documents related to the FBI's supplemental probe of Kavanaugh, which senators said showed no corroboration of the decades-old sexual misconduct allegations against him. FBI background checks on judicial nominees have traditionally been kept confidential so that only senators, White House officials, and certain aides can view them.

“In purposefully limiting the FBI investigation, it is clear the Republicans were not seeking the truth,” Pelosi, D-Calif., wrote in a statement. “They were seeking cover to do what they wanted to do anyway. To add insult to injury, they blocked the public’s access to the report.”

We should not and cannot take their word for it. They opened up the FBI's documents to scrutiny by stating what they purportedly contain or don't contain. Can't have it both ways, GOP.

to hide the truth.

We are not going to be stopped. Our choice is between defeating ourselves by not fighting or taking the chance to defeat the evil.

McConnell claims it will all blow over. He's whistling past the graveyard.

who have been brave. (women also) They had nothing to gain and much to lose yet they spoke the truth and provided evidence and when the FBI would not hear them they spoke to the press.

We owe it to all these brave people to never let this drop.

Doing this now feeds the RW narrative that "Dems are just out to destroy a good man" & helps fire up the RW base.

We can get the same info after midterms, & we might control some committees that can actually do something about it then too.

I dunno. I do know Nancy is politically as smart as they come, so maybe she's doing it now to keep it in the news?

FBI: Did you do it?

Kavanaugh: Did you?

FBI: I’m sorry, that’s all the White House will allow us to ask, folks. I guess we’re done. What’s for lunch? I’m feeling like tacos today.
