When luck and fate are on your side, the path of extremism can lead to victory after victory, year after year. This emboldens the extremist. He gambles more, he takes more risks.
Eventually, as sure as the sun rises and sets, the extremist takes a gamble, a risk and things go terribly wrong. In their state of extremism they take another gamble trying to fix what went wrong. Things spin out of control and they destroy themselves.
Trump and the Republican Party have been taking big gambles , risks, for years. Luck and fate have been on their side. One day, out of nowhere their luck will run out, fate will turn against them. It will be ugly for them.
Unfortunately, for the victims of extremism, it seems like the madness will never end. A few years can seem like a lifetime.
I believe Trump is a big fan of Hitler. He is using his playbook. Hitler was unbelievably lucky, fate was on his side for years. However, Trump does not pay attention to how the story of Hitler ends. It is a fatal flaw.
