The pushback from women has heartened me. DU has heartened me. We're all in this together and we are going to eventually defeat this monster of a president.

5. I had a great day yesterday

Huge canvassing event at AFL CIO Tucson

Which meant I missed the large Move On canvassing event and the large DSCC event.

If you are feeling down and are healthy enough the best medicine is a knocking on doors or making some phone calls.

10. I spent yesterday on my bobcat digging rocks...

Given that there was nothing o could do to change the outcome, I chose to change my own space. It felt good and renewed my sense of power.

I am feeling envigorated for the midterm battle between all that is human and good vs that which is selfish, cruel and repulsive.

I don't, at least not much better anyway. I'm still angry as hell and raging inside. I just can't get over the fact that someone so obviously unqualified was put on the court to protect drumpf and russian repugs - that is the fact. Women don't matter in this country, only white rich men. Even women that were supposedly pro-woman - Susan Collins - hav been shown to be a total and complete traitor to her gender & country and to knowingly put a rapist and rapid partisan repug on the court for her own partisan gain. Then for he to have the gall to say she still supports and believes women - OMG, this is such a machiavellian lie. I really hope karma strikes her down and so harad it almost destroys her. It's what she deserves for making it exponentially more likely that young girls will be sexully assaulted without fear of penalty now. Rapes and assaults will skyrocket and it's all because of her and her party of russian repug rapist approvers. As a former Rape Crisis counselor, this is just too real, too close to home and too heinous for me to process. I'm now begging my husband to consider moving outside the USA if we don't at least take back the House and hopefully the Senate too. If not, Russian Repugs have the votes in Senate and SCOTUS to completely change our country and destroy us for the enrichment of the oligarchs and to hurt women and minorities. First step will be him firing Sessions * Rosenstein immediately after mid-terms (if don't retake House and Senate) and then having the new AG installed by compliant kKK congress who will immediately fire Mueller and destroy everything Mueller has done so no one ever gets proof that our so-called president is a total traitor and criminal in oh so many ways and this was all done knowingly. Those are the stakes for the mid-terms.

I took time off yesterday, built a fire, and worked on refinishing an old rocking chair. I plan to harvest the basil plant today and make pesto for the winter. Working with my hands feels like balm for my soul right now.
