Trump Doesn't Think Women are Feeling Devastated by Kavanaugh's Confirmation

Speaking on Air Force One on Saturday, President Donald Trump said he doesn’t think women are devastated by Brett Kavanaugh‘s confirmation.

“What is your message today to the women across this country who are feeling devastated, feeling like the message that’s been sent here…?” a reporter asked.

Trump interrupted: “I don’t think they are. I think, actually, that women you look, you look at the biggest fans, and I can tell you the people that spoke to me most — in the strongest of terms in his favor were women. Women. Women were outraged at what happened to Brett Kavanaugh. Outraged.”

Reuters also reported that Trump called Kavanaugh “squeaky clean.”

“This is one of the reasons I chose him is because there is no one with a squeaky clean past like Brett Kavanaugh. He is an outstanding person and I’m very honored to have chosen him,” he said, adding that he is “100 percent” certain that Christine Blasey Ford named the wrong person in her testimony.

1. He knows damn well we feel devastated. It simply doesn't register as important in his brain.

As for McConnell, Hatch and Grassley, they are all thrilled that they have been able to emotionally beat women up because they hate women. Along with most republican men.

2. I feel so confused - all around me women are upset but

I live in a blue state surrounded by democrats. Even our republicans are socially very liberal.

So, I see some polls that suggest that there are plenty of republican women who are okay with this. And it's the independents that are turning blue.

I honestly don't think we'll know how upset we are - across the country - until election day.

As for me, I'm devastated.
