The company I work for was hit by a tariff of 200 percent on Chinese sourced materials. We were able to secure domestic sources, but of course they raised their prices accordingly.

So, we are gonna pass a good chunk of it along to consumers. We have no choice. Either pass it along or close the doors and lay everyone off.

...and to cut down, just progressively reduce the syrup you add to make it a cola or whatever soft drink you prefer.

Personally I recommend no syrup (i.e., seltzer water) with a few drops of lemon juice.

Not many can purchase homes, too expensive. Movies are expensive. Car prices are rising. Cost of living is rising, but not wages.

The replacement parts are also subject to the tariffs so it is going to cost more money to repair a vehicle after a collision.

It's already evident with the führer declaring Democrats are criminals. It's going to be a rough ride no matter what. Our America is gone.

When one is discounted the other rarely is at the same time.
Here a 12 pack of either goes for $4.99 to $5.99 depending on the store. When on sale it can be as cheap as 4 for $11, but usually 3 for $9, or 4 for $12.

What you observed wasn't a one time price increase, but instead a common fluctuation due to marketing strategy. I doubt if it is tariff related. The aluminum price increase wasn't enough to cause much of a change in canned drink price.

I work in the soda industry, and bouncing from 3 or 4/$10 one week to $5.99 the next week is pretty normal. It can also be helpful to switch packages — when 12s go up 2 liters often come down. Regionally this is a time when those awful little mini-cans get pushed, so take a look there.

Also a lot of sales pricing slows this time of year due to reduced volume; fewer cases means we need to take more margin.
