Arghhh! So angry!

I just received a text thread from my family. My brother and his family are out in San Diego for the holiday and my little 9 year old nephew was bitten by a sting-ray. It looked pretty bad. Most of my family members texted back w/ concern and well wishes for his welfare however someone (not sure who because it was just a phone number) texted back. "Sorry to hear about xxxx. On the bright side Kavanaugh is getting on the Supreme Court and it's going to be a Red Wave in November! These people will never be decent people!"

I was furious! First of all, it was so inappropriate, secondly, why are they stirring up shit in my family's post about an child's injury? I texted back "Who is this number and who will never be decent people? Why are you stirring up this shit?"

I didn't say any more than that and I expect I will hear back with some unfavorable texts, but I have absolutely had it!

My liberal brother and I think we figured out who it was. A friend of my parents. A stupid woman who has never been worth listening to. He told me I was a little harsh but I said I didn't need to be respectful of someone who said that we would never, never be decent people. I will not back down. I am sick of always taking the high road with these people and I don't care how old they are. It doesn't give them a license to be assholes.
