I saw A Star is Born tonight and left immensely sad. I can get deeply affected by sad movies. I dont just feel bad for the characters but I start to feel bad for all of humanity. I feel like May in The Secret Life of Bees, I need to go to the wall😩
So, as Mike and I are halfway to the car, we get this amazing message from the universe: a woman is walking ahead of a man, presumably her husband, by about 4 yards. I couldnt tell if she was mad or what. The man, with a phone to his ear, begins yelling this sucks, this getting old stuff really SUCKS!!! The woman dramatically spins around and yells back to the man no it doesnt Paul, it doesnt, you have to live every day and be thankful.
Mike and I start laughing, totally getting the irony and perfect timing of this surreal moment. I laugh so hard I cry, even harder for the sake of humanity...

(31,389 posts)It's going to be tough to beat the Streisand Kristofferson production. I loved Judy Garland, but the production with her couldn't hold a candle to Streisand.
Lady Gaga? Eh. Brave of her to take on the role.
