Trump: Women are "extremely happy" about Kavanaugh because they are thinking of their sons

Trump on AF1 was asked about women angry about Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

“I don’t think they are,” he said. Women are “extremely happy," he said, “because they’re thinking of their sons, they’re thinking of their husbands and their brothers, their uncles, and others.”

Unlike when I was growing up with a malignant narcissist, at least I know I'm being gaslighted now.

because it is a self-protective measure for a number of women to imagine that all of those raped invited it.

I used to cringe when a rape survivor asked for a female doctor in the ER. By and large the doctors distanced themselves from the terror of treating the someone with an experience they might have some day - by blaming the woman. As a general rule, men were much more able to be objective in doing their jobs.

This is just an extension of that. If they acknowledge the accsations against their husband/father/etc. are true, then they - too - might be vulnerable. So the accusations must be lies for self-protection.

in my dorm at college. A flat out, no question possible, she had electric cord marks around her neck, rape. The female reaction was toxic. I was young and I can still remember my shock.

not to sexually assault women. The two older ones both think Kavenaugh is a dirtbag who shouldn't be anywhere near government, or other humans.

Nor does anyone else who doesn't have a Y chromosome.

I'm old enough to remember the 1950s, when employment discrimination based on sex was perfectly legal and socially acceptable, and when in many states married women didn't have many legal rights. I don't expect Roe v. Wade to be overturned itself, but I expect to see a lot of chipping away at equal employment rights, family leave rights, and women's rights in general.

I have taught my son to treat women the way he would want someone to treat me. With respect and care.
Its really not that hard to NOT violate a fellow human being.

I have a son and I am not worried about about women making false accusations. I do worry about him though about him though as a black man in America getting shot or racially profiled.
