Scalia was one of the worst Justices I can recall. Just my opinion.

5. Scalia was a far superior intellect. But that doesn't mean Thomas' opinions aren't his own

If anything, Scalia didn't go far enough for Thomas in many decisions. Right now, I'd say Thomas is the most conservative justice, and that's taking into account people like Alito.

We have 2 more hardcore(unprincipled) partisans than we once had on the bench. It remains to be seen if we survive this, because the scope is going to involve whether or not the President is above the law, not to mention all of the potential election fraud and vote stealing that we're likely to have no recourse against going forward.

I don't know this for certain, but I feel like we've hit a point of corruption on the Republican side that has made their losing the house and the Senate potentially damning should investigations dig into some of this corruption and reveal it, and I'm pretty sure that means that they will make sure they don't lose at all costs. I mean, they've got the companies that tally the votes. They've got all the oversight power. They've got the courts. If they simply told us they won the election at this point, I have no idea what we could even do about it short of a literal revolution, and I don't think the American people are up for that.

Hopefully I'm way way way too cynical/paranoid and we're going to at least take the house this election, and we get Trump out of office in 2020, but I worry the stakes have gotten really high for some of them. No telling how much dirt exists or how much Putin has on individual legislators, to say nothing of Trump himself.

At a terrible price and it can only get worse. For the first time in my life I'm relieved I am in my winter years.
