D.C. Circuit sent complaints about Kavanaugh’s testimony to Chief Justice Roberts

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has received more than a dozen judicial misconduct complaints against Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh in recent weeks but has chosen for the time being not to refer them to a judicial panel for investigation.

A judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — the court on which Kavanaugh serves — sent a string of complaints to Roberts starting three weeks ago, according to four people familiar with the matter.

That judge, Karen LeCraft Henderson, had dismissed other complaints against Kavanaugh as frivolous, but she concluded that some were substantive enough that they should not be handled by Kavanaugh’s fellow judges in the D.C. Circuit.

In a statement Saturday, Henderson acknowledged the complaints and said they centered on statements Kavanaugh made during his Senate confirmation hearings.

And that of his court.

He can't do anything with these complaints because Kavanaugh has not been confirmed yet so there is no action to be taken.

People here get so worked up about stuff so much when there is a specific procedure that needs to be followed. Roberts knows his court is in trouble with Kavanaugh on there and I could definitely see him pushing for removal if there is blatant perjury (which we know that there is).

From a job before they start. You can't get fired until you have a job and the confirmation process itself is out of his jurisdiction. He knows the process and is following the rules to a T.

BK was already a DC judge. Roberts had no need to wait till he was confirmed to the SC.

That's a very odd argument and leaves out the realities since that event.

and these things need time to work their way through it.

I'm not happy to see this clown get elevated to the SC, but we have to remember this is only the corrupt republicans trying to pull a fast one. All of these charges have to be addressed. This thing isn't over, not by a long shot.

Only impeachement and removal or death can take him off the SCOTUS. Chief Justice Roberts can't. Neither can any inferior court. Neither can the President.

Once seated, he's there for as long as he lives, unless he chooses to resign. That's a deliberate thing, to make SCOTUS Justices immune from political action against them.

Get used to it. He's not going away. The time to keep him off the court ends today when the Senate votes.

More's the pity.

with congressional investigations for as long as we can. Maybe a clear case of perjury can be made if we win The White House in 2020 and and control both houses.

would be turned over to whatever law enforcement agency is in charge of prosecuting someone for perjury. I have to admit I don't know exactly who that would be...someone in the justice department? In any case, anything after that would be out of the Congress's hands.

1) Vote.

2) should Dems ever take control of the Senate and have a SCOTUS pick to confirm, move as fast as possible.

3) Be attentive to who is appointed to the lower courts. If you have issues raise them before they get on a SCOTUS short list
