2. All I can say is that Coons must be a hellova nice guy

I don't know if that translates into being a good and effective Senator, but he is someone I would like to have on my side. Flake played him like a fiddle and Coons must know it, yet he won't call him out on it.

3. I don't think Coons was conned. I think Coons took the opportunity

to buy some time and do what could be done with that short period of time. It was smart. Just because they're friendly doesn't mean Coons doesn't know what Flake is really like.

The committee was voting on moving Kavanaugh to the full senate which then planned to vote on Friday.

Coons wasn’t “conned” because he gave up nothing and achieved a delay, SOME investigation, and possibly gained one vote.

Not conned at all... just fell a little short.

7. You have to work with what you've got. Coons did very well imo.

That time span produced damaging OP'Eds from Ornstein and Justice Stevens came with his big no to Kavanugh. It scared Kavanaugh enough he wrote his fake apology plea that evening. Susan Collins is a disgrace and so is Flake but Coons did a very good thing.

Dems can build up a case for further investigations to include perjury.

8. What I couldn't undetand is why Dems on Judicial Committee fixated on FBI investigation?

Ok, First off, I am proud of the Senate Judicial Committe's performance interviewing Kavanaugh.

I am a life-long Democrat because the GOP have always appeared to represent everyone and the wealthy, elite preppies I was surrounded by were emotionally deprived, alcohol drenched, lock jawed, out of touch, snobby, heartless, selfish, conservative, polarized GOP puppets.

However, while glued to last Thursday's Senate hearing, I distinctly remember wondering "why all the focus on FBI inquiry"

Didn't Coons and the Dems know that Trump would write the parameters? And, if not, why? And if so, did Coons & Dems know there wasn't a snow balls chance in hell the GOP would play fairly.

Not that it matters, the Lockstep, who cares about anything but winning GOP can have their way with the country because they hold the power.......today.

In retrospective, I wonder if the Dems have many teams formulating tactics for today, tomorrow, and at least a ten year plan. I have faith they do.

The Democratic party needs everyone who is not a heartless GOP idealogue to VOTE.

Stop abusing people who just worked far harder in one week for democracy than most will in their entire lives.

You complain without even knowing what you're talking about. Here's something real simple: Flake NEVER promised Coons to vote no. Get it?

Worst of all, instead of the Republicans, you badmouth a good man who did his best. What the HELL are you doing?
