The price is likely to go down as we get closer to the election... What amazes me is that there are so many types of 3 watt bulbs. These are produced all over the country in different kinds of factories that we do not know (or cared to know) ever existed... Beware of 3 watt bulbs is my current motto...

who is a 3 watt bulb. She hates tRump and the red hats...mourns what has happened to our country but won’t engage with what’s happening on any level because “it’s all too much” and “it’s too exhausting”. She won’t watch the news or pick up a paper. That’s a special kind of 3 watt bulb. 🙄

According to four witnesses and KPBS employees who did not want to be identified because station officials told them not to discuss the episode publicly, the incident began on the morning of Sept. 6 during the taping of a private video production inside the studio.

As two hosts and their guest were discussing political developments in Washington D.C., Donald Benke grew angry and confronted the men over their criticism of President Donald Trump, the witnesses said.

The guest, a professor emeritus in the School of Communication at SDSU named Peter Andersen, replied by stating something to the effect of “This is not the Third Reich; you can say what you want,” one witness said.

Soon thereafter, Donald Benke announced he was not feeling well, employees said. He said he was taking a sick day and immediately left the studio.

About 20 minutes later, Peter Benke, a 35-year-old photographer who lives with his parents, apparently bypassed two security doors and appeared inside the television studio, witnesses said. He slammed a heavy book onto a table and demanded to know who in the studio had called his father a Nazi, they added.

Andersen replied that he had not called anyone a Nazi but again defended his First Amendment rights to free speech, one witness said. At that point, Peter Benke jumped toward the professor and grabbed ahold of his arm, tearing the skin and causing Andersen to bleed, the witnesses said, as others in the room came to help and began escorting Peter Benke by both arms out of the studio and off the premises.

I'm more bothered that the police came and confiscated the sign.

Maybe it all depends on the on and off switch..For me, I would not put up a sign with an elephant looking up a woman's dress....but that is my opinion. Yes, it is satire, but some democratic elephants also look up women's skirts....(did I really say that?...oh my....

15. It's basically saying the Republicans are perverts, or they want to violate women.

The sign makes perfect sense to me. The fact that police came and threatened arrest and confiscated the sign is throwing off major "Third Reich/ police state" warning signs.

11. A fellow named Chuck Grassley joined the club with this statement:

Grassley: "Workload may keep women off committee."

When asked about the lack of Republican women on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) suggested that women may not want to take on the workload of the committee. He then added that it's "a lot of work whether you're a man or a woman."

Sometimes you need a bit of a "laugh" to bring levity to what is a horrid situation and this certainly fits the bill. It really is something that has most likely also been done as a political cartoon in a newspaper. Political cartoons are often edgy.

But as a note about the "bothsidesdoit" argument - there is one side who is in power at the moment and who has the power of the media that they own (which is essentially ALL of the media), so what little "our side" may do, it is literally a fractional blip amongst the vast universe of RW dim bulbs.

Like attracts like in their world ("birds of a feather" and all...) and they certainly get the bulk of those low-watters supporting them.

Edit to add - I just saw post #6 - a link to a political cartoon from the Washington Post -
