In a few weeks, we will all find out what kind of country we live in

I’m very apprehensive about this.
But.
When the new Congress is elected, I want them to impose term limits. On the courts. In Congress.
Everywhere.
Our country should not be held hostage by legislators who have figured out how to lie, cheat and steal elections in order to amass more and more power and gains.
McConnell, a craven partisan hack, has singlehandedly become one of the most powerful men in the country and he has bent the SCOTUS to his will—not the will of the people. This cannot be. This cannot stand.
It needs to be on our laundry list of things to change.

There will be less time to deliver rewards to industries that will make them multi millionaires in the lobbyist industry after they leave office. Everything will turn into an accelerated money grab.

I am a long time lurker and just joined and I have never missed voting since when I became of legal age.
I am not happy at all especially after this week and I'm pretty sure by the end of the day my mood 😖 will be terrible so I better just stay home today. But maybe I can make some friends here. 👋

I think most people are apprehensive about the upcoming election. They are not re-assured with talk about a "blue wave" etc. Hopefully this Kavanaugh confirmation will not be so long-lasting as to affect the turnout in 5 weeks?

The hull on this great ship is creaking and groaning.

The election can't come soon enough. I'm literally freaking out with apprehension and anxiety.

Our democracy is not going to save itself from election fraud and big money takeover.

We can't afford to live elsewhere if Social Security stops and with RW asses in charge, that could happen in my lifetime. I think we could live modestly on our SS & my small pension, but the pension is all I can really count on and that's not enough to rent a modest appt., buy food, pay electricity, etc.

I'm working to make the BLUEWAVE happen, phone banking, canvassing, calling Congress, poll watching and have been surprised at the positive feedback I get. It's got to happen, we HAVE to win for the future of ourselves, our families and our country.
