Trying to impeach Kavanaugh is pointless

It takes 2/3 of the Senate to vote in favor of impeachment.

The effort should be put into the House carrying out a full investigation and having him indicted for committing perjury.

Think of it as Benghazi ... except this time a real crime is being investigated and a real criminal will be indicted for his crimes.

What route are you suggesting and using what proof? With what’s at stake here I’d like to think Dr. Ford would have already brought that proof with her on the day she testified.

that is why the White House Counsel jumped in and limited the scope to the FBI's investigation

they needed to ensure the investigation left no door open than would have Kavanaugh being requested by the FBI

If he was questioned by the FBI, he had two options, either admit he perjured himself, or lie to the FBI.

In 2021, the Democratic Senate and President expand the SCOTUS headcount and appoint 2 mid-thirties ultra-progressive women to the court.

This is justified to repair the damage done by McConnell and Putin.

If Dems take the House, there will be an investigation, a real one and the truth will out. I'm sure Kozinski never expected to have to resign his seat on the 9th Circuit either. I think if the investigation turns up what we all believe it will, CJ Roberts will personally tell Kavanaugh to resign.

he doesn't get confirmed today, he's a shit-stain on the Supreme Court. I don't see him getting much support from his peers if he is investigated and it looks like he will be indicted.

Kavanaugh as a colleague. As the "junior" justice, Kavanaugh has door opening/closing duties. If I were a sitting justice, I'd be tempted to push him back out the door once everyone was in.

I'm sure a lot of Republicans feel the same way, but the main goal of Today's GOP is to troll liberals, so what better way to do that having a lowlife like Trump nominate a dirtbag like Kavanaugh.

Somehow I just don't think rest of the Supreme Court is interested in being part of their juvenile trolling.

No question that he energized our voter base and we will have options. Point is, we need to protect the integrity of OUR supreme court. So we have a civic duty to expose him and take the swiftest route to remove him.

If evidence is there to show GOP acted politically to get win but ignored or suppressed truth - I would support that.

Not just on sexual violence charges, but also on the issue of his involvement and knowledge about the documents stolen from Democrats and other information that shows he lied.

While maybe you would not have 2/3 in Senate, you would be able to use it against those Senators who supported him and were involved in the coverup. Get them voted out of office.

will go down as the only Supreme Court Justice to be impeached in our lifetime and rightfully so, and the Senators who do not vote to convict in light of truth can be voted out of office and shamed and rightfully so.
