I quit drinking in 1983. I am in good health today. Quit smoking and became a vegetarian in the middle 90’s.

Everybody is different I think.

Christopher Reece died and his wife and caregiver died shortly later...due to lung cancer. She never smoked. Others smoke and drink, don't exercise, eat crap and fat and live to be 100. It's a crap shoot.

And he's 70 y.o. Granted, he doesn't have all his brain cells any more, but he is very much alive.

I believe the SCOTUS additionally requires at least some cognitive activity.

But to answer your question, a shortened life is a possibility, not a promise.

It increases your chance, but it doesn't guarantee anything.

I had a grandfather who smoke and drank nearly his whole life and died in his 80's. I had an uncle who drank his whole life and died in a pool of his own urine and vomit in his 40's.

There are so many factors at play. Given his age, I imagine Kavanaugh's liver would be his biggest issue going forward. Being a supreme court justice, he would get the top care in the country and likely become shortlisted for a liver transplant.

I think it is far better to wish him impeachment and removal than it is to wish him death.

He's probably had excellent care his whole life thus far. Unless he has some sort of genetic sabotage in his makeup, he'll likely live a long time. Dems need to win and impeach the motherfucker after they get the asshole who nominated him.

He's 53, and if he has a life expectancy of 80, and manages to shorten it to 67, that's still fourteen years of awful rulings from him, and you KNOW that he will spend his time at SCOTUS getting revenge on "Libbruls" and non-Catholics. He will not meet a corporation or a death sentence or an environmentally destructive law he didn't like.
