Just for the record, Justice Kennedy was no moderate

On issues like civil litigation against big business, access to the courts, arbitration, governmental immunity, rights of criminal defendants, among many others, Kennedy was very conservative.

Frankly, it's just with regard to a limited number of very high profile social issues that he was moderate.

So it's not like we're going to have Kavanaugh replacing RBG or someone like that. On most issues the court faces, it will be one conservative replacing another.

That any of those folks are considered "moderate" is a testament to how incredibly fucked up our society is.
