(146,336 posts)I've downloaded the pdf version. It's going on my Kindle Fire. I'll read it when I have time. It could be gone from archive.com before too long, so if someone wants it, I suggest grabbing it.

(22,898 posts)I downloaded it and skimmed a lot of it to get a feel for what it's like. No sex, all about his alcoholism. The typos indicate this was scanned and converted to text with an optical scanner.

(28,349 posts)I opened it in pdf, but unsure on how to save it. Please help. Thanks
I'd like to see what's in this, too. Probably put on my tablet for easier reading.

(146,336 posts)It depends on your browser or pdf reader software. But they all allow saving. Look for a tools menu, or a little diskette icon. I don't know what you're viewing it in. If you have it on the screen, there's a way to save it. Look around on the display and you'll find it.
I emailed the pdf to myself as an attachment. That way, I can just pick up the email on my Kindle Fire and use the Adobe Reader app on that device to read it from the comfort of my sofa.

(28,349 posts)I think I had a brain fart, and couldn't think. Must've been that Presidential alert. I mean, how nice of President Obama to think of me.
I was going to text and email myself the link, as well. Have you looked at the book yet? What's your impression?

(63,221 posts)Nobody ever would have heard of him if it hadn't been for Brett Kavanaugh. Where does he get off charging almost $2K for a book about his drinking? There are thousands of books out there written by people telling stories of their addictions and recoveries. Am I missing something or is this the ultimate in self-absorbed entitlement?

(146,336 posts)The book didn't sell, and went out of print. Only used copies are available, and very few of those. Due to the news, someone is trying to cash in.
