"Ugh, like many I've managed to keep cool while working a full time job in a hostile work environment, while juggling the lion's share of household/child rearing activities, even through pregnancy. Yet we STILL get labeled 'too emotional.' If I were, someone would have DIED."

Menses are shown to increase ones mental and creative functions as opposed to testosterone which is on always and has been shown to cause aggressive behavior and a drive for domination.

having a menses every month.

That is one great thing about being a woman. Those damn periods stop by a certain age.

that is, when it's "the time," their estrogen is at its lowest level. That makes their hormone balance close to the male's. So they are MOST LIKE MEN during that time. Or maybe it was the week before. I forget.

In my case, it was the week before. Once "the curse" (as my grandma called it) came, the weird roller coaster was over.

This was the reason for men calling women hysterical back in the old days. Some women were even hospitalized as wacko, when it was just hormones.
