'We can't have that on the court', Kavanaugh's "rant" makes him ineligible

McConnell is right in one respect: The longer Kavanaugh hangs out there the less voters approve of him and the more serious concerns about his political bias are raised. As to the latter, constitutional scholar Laurence H. Tribe is one of many legal gurus who argue Kavanaugh’s rant made it impossible for him to serve without eroding the Supreme Court’s credibility. “In Caperton v. Massey Coal, the court held that a judge politically beholden to one of the litigants must recuse himself, and in Williams-Yulee v. Florida Bar, it held that the need to preserve judicial impartiality trumps the rights of judicial candidates to solicit campaign contributions,” Tribe writes in the New York Times.

The man is an ill-tempered conspiracy nut and a belligerently biased liar. He was rapey and probably still is, but that doesn't need collaboration in order for healthy democracy loving Americans to see that he was disqualified before the allegations came up. His responses during the hearing doubled down on his character flaws whether her statement is true or not. I believe her because it's obvious she is telling the truth, but even if he is wrongfully accused, blaming it on a Clinton revenge conspiracy is ludicrous.

Anytime he went for a walk in the street, or went to a restaurant or theater or kegger, Liberals like me would approach him and say “how’s it going there Blackout Brett?” “Have you been feeling rapey lately?” “So it was a Clinton conspirousy that almost sidetracked your new job eh?”

And I would enjoy doing it.
