The only high ground they have is the summit in their minds that is created by their entitled privilege.

You let the FBI do what it wanted or your career as a politician was over.

My language was rather ambiguous (I should have put "seen" in quotation marks) - I definitely could have worded it better.

18. Yes, but they never were. Conservatives by nature

don't believe in equality and find stratified society a natural result of good behaviors being rewarded and bad punished. Kissing up and kicking down may be deplored but seen as normal. Conservatives generally also have a darker view of human nature than liberals and believe that people will behave badly if not dissuaded by punishment.

These are all defining characteristics of conservative personality, generally the more conservative the stronger. And vice versa.

When applied to the legal system, they result, at their worst but inevitably, in such things as wealthy people getting away with decades of large crimes that hurt many others, people from elite backgrounds being advanced over better people from modest backgrounds, and minorities being executed on the streets by police.

Conservative law and order, 2015 style. The officers operating this military weaponry obviously did not tell their superiors they would refuse orders to massacre the protesting and rioting citizens in Ferguson.

that covered all the points I wanted to hear, including Kavanaugh's hyper-partisan remark about the Clintons, and the lie to Orrin Hatch's question about when he first learned of Rameriz' allegations.

When McConnell or Grassley or someone else starts yapping about a quick conclusion to this little detour on Judge Kavanaugh's triumphal march to the Supreme Court, they may not know what they're talking about. They're going to make bold pronouncements to discourage and enrage you. But those pronouncements may not be factual.
