Yep, you read that right... the Villages and Democrats in the same sentence!

11. The Villages has the largest Democratic club in the state

Yep, you read that right. They also have one of the largest Democratic Women's Clubs in the state!

It is very Republican but has become quite Democratic too.

I knew it skewed quite heavily republican, but didn't realize the extent of Democratic participation. I also didn't realize how big The Villages is.

13. The Villages is big. Sort of a mini city. They have a lot of oldies shows there.

Old time soul groups, rock bands, individual singers find a lucrative venue there.

Like MCAR pointed out, there is an active democratic organization there, it weighed in to support one candidate in our school board election (she is in a runoff with the incumbent after falling just short of outright victory).
