Surrogates are already trying to confuse the facts about Ryan's Medicare plan

Now they're saying those older than 55 can "opt out". My theory is that they will make it such a mess with constant media backed lies that people won't know if it's bad or good for them.

Also, note how the pukes done a good job today changing the subject from Romney's taxes with the media right in step.

Surrogate Hutchinson was on msnbc hawking the don't worry it's not so bad meme. Of course details are lacking. They work with impressions since they don't have much else.

excerpt:

Ryan's Medicare plan would allow those 55 and younger to opt out of the government-run health insurance program and purchase private insurance with a federal subsidy. His proposal would not change the way Medicare would work for seniors currently enrolled in the program. See link for more

GOP Readies False Talking Points (aka Lies) to Defend Ryan's Medicare Plan

Here's the bumper sticker we need:
Vulture/Voucher? HELL no!

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/11/1119143/-GOP-Readies-False-Talking-Points-aka-Lies-to-Defend-Ryan-s-Medicare-Plans

When asked whether they are worried about the effect Ryan's controversial Medicare plan will have on indpendents they have been told to say:

- No. President Obama is the one who should be worried, because he has cut $700 BILLION from Medicare to pay for Obamacare, and put in place a panel of Washington bureaucrats to make decisions about what kind of care seniors will receive under Medicare.

So here we go, the lies from the 2010 election have been exhumed and surrogates are being encouraged to lie about Medicare. George Bush's unfunded entitlement Medicare Advantage will be cut, and they are repeating that this is 'cutting Medicare'. And of course let's not forget the infamous death panels. They're still going with that.

And here we go further with fullblown lying:

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a bipartisan plan to strengthen Medicare by giving future seniors the choice between traditional Medicare and a variety of private plans. They are committed to ensuring that Medicare remains strong, not just for today's seniors, but for tomorrow's seniors as well.

'Future seniors', having a 'choice'. There will of course be no choice, other than getting a $5,000 voucher to buy a $25,000 health insurance plan, and no assistance with actual medical costs. We know that this plan will cost 'future seniors' at least $6,000 out of pocket every year.

This line of attack enabled the GOP to take the House in 2010.
We can only hope that the media doesn't completely lie down and repeat these lies for the GOP, and that the Obama campaign is already preparing to shoot down every such lie.

Is it 55 and older can opt out, or 55 and younger (or did they say both)?

Hutchenson said one thing but the articles say another -- I think it's 55 - really 56 but they like to pretend it's 55 for some reason -- can opt out but I'm sure it's BS, that's why details are slim
