Cruz reminds women voters of their ex-husbands, Beto of that "nice young man" you want to set your niece up with

(58,785 posts)It's not religion in itself, though. I certainly didn't regard my very being as a litmus test for the character of others until political hyperpartisanship got way out of control.

(58,785 posts)Beto, though, I might try to set myself up with. In another lifetime, of course. Sigh...

(34,455 posts)Your time asking you to help him out, but does nothing for your benefit. You dread the moment you see him approaching your door.

(2,596 posts)blames you for one his own mistakes and makes up shit about you to spread around the office (about the Big Boss), who then summarily hands you your pink slip and "separation box".

(43,166 posts)question is, is Ted Cruz dislikable enough? Did he alienate enough people? Emotions are very high in the US right now, I don't think ideology will be much of a factor other than enough voters knowing they don't like what America is under Trump.
Democrats could not have picked a better challenger for this seat. Beto is home grown, full of ideas, an eternal optimist, and just has that something that you can't describe but you know it when you see it. He reminds me of some of the characters played by Jimmy Stewart.

(65,358 posts)Kasich, Flake, Corker and Sasse, as well as Jeb, Romney, and other establishment Republicans. because she still believes in most of the conservative agenda.
She recognizes how awful Trump is, and that the Republicans are enabling him, but she still considers most establishment Republicans to be honorable public servants with the right sort of governing philosophy.
Even though the retiring GOP office holders do say critical things about Trump sometimes, they just talk; they never do anything to constrain him. Yet she still treats them as though their mere blather is proof of how wonderful they are.
She touts KASICH (blech!) As a terrific presidential prospect for 2020.
