The calendars show he was out of town much of the summer at the beach or with his parents and they detail basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and so forth. A few parties are mentioned but include names of people other than those identified by Blasey Ford.

(10,137 posts)to have kept every scrap of paper he's ever written on since he learned how to hold a pencil. Yeah, right.
He doesn't need to produce a calendar of dubious provenance - I'll be happy if the Democratic senators just get to see the piles of documents from the Bush era that Grassley is sitting on (with some time to actually read them, of course)

(62,276 posts)The party would not have been written down on a damn calendar. It was a frat drinking party where they boozed up girls and took advantage of them. The last thing you do is write something like that down on a calendar.

(36,858 posts)The calendars do not disprove Dr. Blaseys allegations, Judge Kavanaughs team acknowledged. He could have attended a party that he did not list. But his team will argue to the senators that the calendars provide no corroboration for her account of a small gathering at a house where he allegedly pinned her to a bed and tried to remove her clothing.
The calendars show, according to the person working for his confirmation, that he was out of town much of the summer at the beach or away with his parents. When he was at home, the calendars list his basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and college interviews. A few parties are mentioned but include names of friends other than those identified by Dr. Blasey.
Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Blasey plan to testify before the Judiciary Committee on Thursday as it considers whether to endorse his nomination to the Supreme Court. Dr. Blaseys allegation of sexual assault when they were both teenagers has upended his seeming path to confirmation and set the stage for a public test of credibility when the two appear separately before the senators.

(13,524 posts)Because when we were in high school we wrote down the parties on our calendars..I think not. If we wrote them down at all they would be in code like study group or work on project at -house And Dr Ford isnt even sure of the year. If he knows he was there.
Unless it was part of their 100 kegs countdown and this is how they tallied it . Super weird to keep for 35 years
Super weird for a high schooler to use a calendar. I dont remember ever keeping a calendar in high school.
I had one, but parents definitely tossed most of my old stuff after about 5 years
I didnt get calendars until college. Hell I didnt want anyone knowing where I was in HS
I dare Kavanaugh to submit and carbon date these under oath. No one keeps an itinerary like at age 17.
Plenty do.
Keep their calendars for 36 years?
He has calendars, plural, from 36 years ago, when he was in high school, in the summertime? This is a weird development.
I STAND W/Dr Ford and Pelosi
Who writes parties on calendars?
Especially when you are 17, and there are no parents present but there will be beer.
Apparently the parents were providing kegs
He must also have calendars from his time working for Ken Starr, and in the Bush White House, which he should also be required to produce.
So he has a calendar from 35 years ago, but cant remember if he talked about the Trump investigation?
Or the name of the law firm where his good friend works
I call b.s. What 17 year old high school student had a calendar back then? People had a party this way....hey my parents are away on Saturday and poof you have a party. It wasnt a party where invites were sent.
Having gone to a different Jesuit HS a few years earlier, calendars were common and using them to organize ourselves was drilled into us.
And do you have your calendar from 1982?
By 1982 I was in college but up until Superstorm Sandy it was in my mother's basement with a lot of other memories.
I kept a calendar. Not a chance Id write something down I knew Id get in trouble for, but I was a good kid. Maybe Kavanagh wasnt -undisciplined no respect for the law, his parents,or much else but himself. Sounds like a character that I dont want on the Supreme Court.
According to the initial post the calendars are supposed to show he was out of the area for most of the summer. That is something that would be recorded.
Senators, as you can clearly see, I never penciled the crime into my calendar.

(40,212 posts)Why would anyone keep old calendars from when they were a teenager and have them readily accessible.
And where was he storing these old calendars from 35 years ago? And he so quickly found the ones from when he was 17? A teenage boy keeping a calendar?
I would think that the existence of these calendars would have been talked about last week.
These would need to be authenticated. There are experts trained to determine how old ink is.
As Leghorn21 said, teenage parties pop in in five minutes.
This sounds like an insane story to me.

(282 posts)Don't know how accurate this info is.
On September 16, 2018, after media reported anonymous allegations and reporters started to track down her identity, Ford went public.[29] Ford had wrestled with the choice to make her identity known, weighing the potential negative impact it could have on her,[30][31]
but ultimately spoke to The Washington Post, alleging that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her in the summer of 1982 when she was 15 and he was 17.[32][33][34]
She said that, with another boy watching, Kavanaugh, intoxicated, held her down on a bed with his body, grinding against and groping her, covering her mouth when she tried to scream and trying to pull her clothes off.[35][36] She recounted escaping when the second boy jumped on them both and they all fell.[7] As corroboration of her account, Ford provided The Post with the polygraph as well as session notes from her therapist written in 2012.[7] The therapist's notes do not name Kavanaugh but record Ford's claim of being attacked by students "from an elitist boys' school" who went on to become "highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington". The therapist's notes also say four boys were involved, which Ford attributed to an error by the therapist; Ford said in 2018 that four boys were at the party but only two were involved in the incident.[7] Ford's husband recalled that she had used Kavanaugh's last name in her 2012 description of the incident.[7] Kavanaugh has categorically denied Ford's allegations.[37] Ford retained civil rights lawyer Debra Katz to represent her in the process of going public with her statements about Kavanaugh.[11][29]

Let's see how he noted that awesome party he went to in law school that he bragged about in a speech. How about the one from when he was 39 and got married..... You know, when he'd try to convince the sheeple that he *finally* lost his virginity?

KAVANAUGH: My 1982 calendar's June 7th entry shows otherwise
.......Let me get this straight: we're going to get to see the detailed calendars Kavanaugh that he supposedly kept as a 17 year-old but we're NOT going to see the hundreds of thousands of documents related to what he worked in the Bush White House?
........So Kavanaugh has a calendar from 1982 that does not show any rapes on his schedule and a list of 65 women who say he didn't rape them. Is this the sort of evidence he finds compelling in his courtroom?
And why is the committee even allowing him to produce calendars?
.........They refused FBI investigation, refused witnesses.
But now theyre going to let Kavanaugh produce evidence not corroborated by witnesses or authenticated, supported by FBI?
