Mitt believes himself important enough to view several years of running mate tax returns, but

believes himself to be too important to have to share the same with the voters.

Alternatively, Mitt believes his running mate is more important than himself and requires closer scrutiny.

He has opened the door for at least another week of Mitt the Tax Evader millstone story to weigh around his neck.
