I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!

(23,155 posts)She will show you her documents when you show her your tax returns for the last 10 years.
She was 15 FIFTEEN, drunk & scared to death. She wasn't like MOST (not all) of the women he's assaulted, she wasn't an adult, not anywhere near and felt like she barely escaped with her life. She was too afraid to do anything. She knew she shouldn't have been drinking and most likely internalized the guilt and was devastated.
I can't wait until he is publicly stripped of everything, although nothing can make up for the harm he's doing to our country. It will take decades to fix, if we aren't so far down this road by the time he gets his that hate and rape and lying and greed and treason and criminality by white men are just accepted as normal.

(90,780 posts)person, then blame her again for what happens to her in that sexist society, then heap more blame on her when she fears the repercussions from a sexist society for speaking out against her attacker - the one that told her she was less because she's a woman and the one that told her that women are to blame when they are attacked - the same sexist society that has and continues to blame the victims of sexual assault.
That's all that tweet is - just another example of how women are treated in a sexist society.

(38,439 posts)This time it won't work. Blaming the victim will turn most women in the U.S.A. against him/Trump. Everyone knows it is a lie, but women know in particular how evil this statement is..
Yes, this is very stupid, and mean, but that is who Trump is.

(90,780 posts)You might have known that though.
And I hope it does turn more and more women against him, because, yes, we do know how horrible that statement is.
But none of that changes the reality of the world women exist in and we live in a sexist world.
Just read this morning where a sexual predator in Alaska got a slap on the wrist for his promise not to do it again.

(4,428 posts)Dr. Ford has made a difficult and courageous choice. I do not think I would have the same courage.
