5. FBI is very good at tracing anonymous internet posts. This BS should not be allowed, any more than

threats to elected officials.

Just the announcement that the FBI are on the job will discourage a bunch of folks from bothering Dr. Ford and her family. Lots of people know that the FBI can brandish their own legalized version of harassment (called law enforcement) on the perpetrators. And a number of folks making the threats online are likely going to regret doing so in the very near future (the costs of a lawyer to defend themselves against a criminal charge is expensive for example).

If any of these folks have a relationship to Kavanaugh or the GOP or Georgetown Prep, this could get quite entertaining. That's a possibility - particularly if they have a criminal history in sexual assault.
