I thought Trump seemed to be acting very oddly yesterrday, when I caught part of his remarks on Kavanaugh and his joint press conference with the president of Poland.
I hadn't been online earlier, hadn't heard anything about the excerpts from Stormy Daniels' book and her devastating - and devastatingly funny - description of Trump's genitals.
So, watching him, I thought he seemed oddly subdued, tired, depressed.
Journalists commenting on him used the word "measured" repeatedly, suggesting that for once Trump was able to rein his anger in.
But that didn't explain why he seemed so tired, even defeated.
I just saw a suggestion on Twitter that maybe he was tranquilized yesterday.
I suppose that's possible.
But I think it's more likely that he felt completely destroyed by Stormy's revelations about him.
Her graphic description would confirm to Melania (if she had any doubts still, which she probably didn't) that Trump did have that affair.
But even worse for Trump - much worse - it confirmed to the ENTIRE WORLD that Trump had good reason to react as he did to Rubio's comments about his small hands and what that signified.
For Trump, image is everything.
He sued a biographer years ago because the journalist wrote that Trump wasn't as wealthy as he claimed to be.
Trump can't begin to sue Stormy for this. Think of what that would require for the discovery process.
So he can't respond. He can't fight back. And it's very unlikely that his wife, either of his ex-wives, or any of his many ex-lovers will speak out in his defense.
We've often seen messages here and comments in the media about various moments exposing when "the emperor has no clothes," referring to exposes on Trump's behavior and how unfit he is for office.
Stormy told the world what the wannabe emperor really looks like without clothes.
And Trump will never be able to look at anyone again without wondering if they've read her description of him, and if they're laughing at him.

(11 posts)In 1994, Trump raped a 13 y/o girl, and caused her to develop PTSD.
The pain of reliving the rape every time she saw him on TV or heard his name, caused her to sue him in 2016, hoping to prevent his election.
She filed a sworn complaint in court, which if false, carry legal penalties.
She also filed 2 sworn statements from two witnesses supporting her charges, these also if false carry legal penalties. One was an eyewitness, and the other was a friend she told about the incident when it happened.
When he raped this 13 y/o girl, Donald Trump told her, she would be killed if she told anyone. Stormy Daniels was also told something similar if she talked about her affair with Donald. The pain this child felt hearing all the time about Trump is what finally caused her to open up about the rape after 22 years.
She filed her claim under a court assigned pseudonym because of her fear. Because the claim was anonymous it could not be verified by the MSM, so they did not write stories about it.
On the day her lawyer was to introduce her to the news media, the lawyer's website was hacked and the live stream of the press conference was taken down. The Lawyer received the message "Hahahahaha."
When combined with the threats, against her and her family including bomb threats, Katie (the pseudonym) was "terribly frightened" as her lawyer announced when the news conference was canceled. Katie was in the office when the website was attacked and saw nothing could be done to stop it.
Two days later Katie withdrew her charges and has not been heard from since.
Given the fact, Donald Trump pays off women who have dirt on him, and his documented ties to the mob; we can only hope Katie is on some tropical island paradise where the name Donald Trump is never mentioned, and not in the Meadowlands swamp of New Jersey.
Could someone please re-post this as an OP, since I can not yet do so. If you want to re-post this anywhere or forward this to the news media, you have my permission to do so. I supported Donald Trump in 2016 as a religious Christian, and now know I was conned. Thank you

For her to confirm he has a small, unsatisfying dick shaped like a little mushroom is devastating embarrassment for the narcissist's ego and fodder for years to come for the stand-up comics.
Trump is becoming all he could ever be in that office: a bad joke.

(82,849 posts)Really, Mr. President? What are those reasons? Can you run through them for the sake of the people who may not know the reasons you're disappointed in the man you named to be Attorney General?
Well, we can't be doing that. Everyone just assumes that we all know what Trump is talking about, and later, when someone puts those assumptions into actual words, Trump can emerge in high dudgeon, claim (truthfully) that he never said those exact words, and flounce off for another round of golf on the taxpayer dime.

Without a reputable MD's confirmation of his STD status, I would not shake his hand. Of course, I also would never put myself in a position to breath his foul odor.

It's not just that.
From now on, in any interview, public, even private exchange, even innocuous comments and phrases could lead to sideye or a Trumplosion. Too tired to think of many right now, but how about "What about the mushrooming national debt?" or "Isn't that putting the Kart before the horse?" for example?
And heaven help anyone in the administration called Mario ...
