Early voting starts Thursday in Wyoming
CHEYENNE, Wyo - Wyomings General Election is on Nov. 6, but voters may cast their ballot early starting Friday, Sept. 21, when the Laramie County Clerks office opens the polling site in the atrium of the county building at 309 W. 20th Street in Cheyenne.
The atrium polling site will be open to voters from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, from Sept. 21 through Nov. 5.
Absentee ballots will also be mailed on Sept. 21 to voters who have requested them. County Clerk Debra Lee noted that voters may request an absentee ballot by calling (307) 633-4242 or by e-mailing election@laramiecountyclerk.com. Voters must provide their name as it appears on the voter list, date of birth, residential address in the county, mailing address, and contact telephone number.
According to Lee, persons not yet registered have several opportunities to register to vote. They can register at the early voting site in the atrium of the county building, at town clerk offices in Albin, Burns and Pine Bluffs, at any vote center on Election Day, and at the voter drop-in event at the Laramie County Library, 2100 Central Ave., on Sat., Sept. 22, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. New registrants are asked to bring their Wyoming driving license if they have one; other accepted documents are any valid government-issued ID including military ID, U.S. passport, student ID or driving license from other state
