I'm tired of this "locker room talk" "boys will be boys" attitude. I am thoroughly disgusted that we must fight, actually fight against having this piece of filth confirmed to a lifetime appointment. This is seriously disturbing, over the top sickness.
Good night!

(17,984 posts)Which is a fancy term for "liar", which means his denial about the attempted rape is worthless.
But the club? On top of everything, I think the club is just detestable. Who in their right mind would want to support a man like him? And to do so means you either have to deny that he was part of the club (impossible) or excuse it the same way Melania excused "grab 'em by the pussy" (disgusting). These people are beyond deplorable, well beyond.

We would meet in the apartments of some members (especially those with larger TVs) and watch really bad movies, usually really bad science fiction movies from the 50s.
And make fun of the dialogue... like this bit from a Zombie movie... man defending town from attacking zombies "They don't move to fast!" Sheriff answers "Well, they're dead, ya know."
if you can't laugh at that...
Basically Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (or previous versions) long before MST was a show.
Anyway, it wasn't all male and it was open to anyone who wanted to watch old, bad movies (like "Che!" with Jack Palance)

alcohol was a main feature of these parties.
sounds like the 1980s versions of these clubs became much more juvenile and sexist.

(17,984 posts)Pick your favorite movie for everyone to watch. There may have been beer. I know for sure there was a "Happy Movie Night" cake.
I remember there were a few guys in the dorm who had a bet. They wouldn't shave until they got laid. Even back then in my college naivete, I thought that was just stupid and disgusting.
