"If she does want to be heard, she should do so promptly" translates to "let's create a sham invitation to testify within an arbitrarily short time-frame which will allow us to claim she had a chance to testify and chose not to"

He's not calling for a delay so much as teeing up the excuse for not fully investigating the matter.

RESISTANCE WORKS! Please, please, please call! If you know anyone with a pre existing condition, on the ACA, a woman, an immigrant, anyone who wants the fake prez impeached if it goes before the SCOTUS, etc all need to call since this is what is at stake for the next 30 years!

He wasn’t quite as direct as Corker, but the two of them abstaining, or one voting No would do it if none of the Dems defect.
