not just Trump.
We are so limited in our thinking? Why are senators standing by trump, even to back such a flawed candidate? Do they really fear losing the senate or do they need to stack to highest court with justices who will overturn any convictions against them.
I think it's clear that Kavannaugh is for sale and they know it. Who's buying?
Obviously, it's complicated, but we should be evaluated each senators' personal motivations, not just Collins and Murkowski?

They think they are doing their gods work.
Their religion teaches them by any means necessary.

(15,751 posts)Yesterday, about 11:15a I was elated at monafort 'cooperation' news and its implications. Great News! right?
Going out I mentioned to my sub mailman in his 40's, 'Manafort news'. Mailman said, 'who's he?'. Then went to my dds appointment, and asked the dental assistant the same kind of remark. She, in her 20's said, 'no, I haven't heard of a Manafort.' Same with the 40ish dental hygienist! The dentist knew a lot of Manafort -said 'corruption is so pervasive.' And this is purple voting, relatively educated Northern Virginia.
It seems like it is going to take a while longer, a lot of cellphone news headlines for the trump, kavenaugh, Manafort stuff/importance, to sink in a little.
Sink in enough? That is a question.

(3,011 posts)When asked last night, she had never heard of Manafort. Her response was to ask me about Hillary, saying that Hillary was the one colluding with Russia.
She's misinformed. On purpose. By design.
