One is a war council on how to deal with all this. The Giulliani statement this morning was a damaging dud. Like Maya Wiley said - bad lawyering. So now what? Who does Tramp huddle with to devise a plan? A delicious mess, imo.

The long knives could be out, too. I can see his daughter and son in law plotting to throw people over the side to save themselves. And the two brothers huddling with their respective allies to do the same. After all, Eric wasn't at the June '16 Trump Tower meeting. He could be the last one standing or spend the least time in prison if he plays his cards right.

This stuff reads like one of the classic Akira Kurosawa samurai films.

As for Ivanka, Jared and Jr. I see Jared and Ivanka plotting for themselves. I'm sure Ivanka has already spoken to her mother and the long knives are out to save themselves. Jared is in so deep. And it seems to me that he can help Mueller expose more international criminality led by Putin and his oligarchs. I believe to my core that Jared and Ivanka will stuff pop under the bus to save themselves.

Don Jr. is on his own. He boxed himself in all by himself. Jared had the common sense to bail out of the 6/16 meeting while Jr. was all about it.

We'll see how it all shakes out. But there's one more movie metaphor that comes to mind. A 1984 Japanese movie called The Crazy Family. The story culminates with all the family members at war with each other inside the family home. Even grandpa skulks around in his old military uniform taking is granddaughter hostage. It's how I see the Trumps. Creeping around the White House and plotting how to save their individual skins.

Already started daydreaming some “details”.

Imagine - one reporter overhears something while out after work having a beer or something. Along the lines of “really odd over there, all of a sudden, nobody on the White House staff can find trump.” Reporter would call in to the desk. “Nope, nothing - yet. Where’d you get this?” But now ears would be perking up. And they’d start calling their sources. Soon, EVERYBODY’d be calling their sources, all over town, New York City, Mar-a-Lago, New Jersey, and wherever else seems plausible.

The reporting would slowly take shape as anonymous White House staffers start coughing up little red flags: That no one’s seen Melania since last night - she can’t be located either. Nor can Barron. Same impression would inevitably start to build about Ivanka. And Jared. Hey, anybody seen them in the last 24 hours? The inevitable press stakeout at their Washington DC house would begin. What about Donnie Jr? Anybody seen him lately? Wasn’t he on Fox just last night? And Eric? He’s missing too?

And at some point there’d likely be a “heyyyy WAIT JUST A MINUTE HERE...” moment. It would be the collective effort to confirm whatever it is toward which some in the press might be starting to connect dots.

Can you imagine the internal Armageddon that might result? There’s the Pence contingent - who’d be trying not to wet themselves at the idea of the line of succession that may have been drawn straight toward the one-term washed-up Indiana rescue/whitest white guy in America. For all we know, he could be wet-dreaming the idea at present, anyway, as he watches the deterioration of The Donald.

The “loyalty thing” would be thrown to the wind, resulting in a near-cannibalistic fight-to-the-death for power, interim or otherwise. Democrats on the Hill would call for regular order and I’m secretly thanking God they aren’t tangled up in this shit. Meanwhile, the GOP would be frantically trying to divvy up what’s left of the perceived spoils before the nation’s ire rises up, once the base realizes that Donnie ran out on ‘em and didn’t stay and fight - OR give them their precious wall. And the Cabinet members wouldn’t know what to do. Who wants to stick their neck out - this far? Nobody’s ever pulled the 25th Amendment trigger for something like THIS. And we know pretty much everybody in that cast of madness is a first class coward.

The “base” could go completely schitzo, maybe immediately into the Great State of Denial. Or perhaps some might try to fly the coop to wherever their Orange Moses went. OR others might feel thoroughly betrayed like a rejected lover and start demonstrating yet again their absence of any temper control. But - but - but - where’s our wall?!?!? Remember, though, they’re the ones who tend to resort to guns and torches and menacing chanting and using their car as a murder weapon. FAR, FAR more characteristic of the far right than there is anything comparable on the left. After all, OUR side is the one that hugs trees.
