Damn that hurts :( [spoiler warning for 4x100 relay results in Olympics]

Canada won the bronze in the 4x100, all the athletes were celebrating like mad then they learn they were disqualified. They were heartbroken of course, crying into the flag, very painful to watch They should never have posted the results before making the final decision.

The reason was because on the the athletes stepped on the line during his leg. He admitted it and took responsibility but it's still shitty that they posted the results before making the final DQ decision.

Wonderful to watch the Jamaicans smash the world record though. Although that was kind of expected.

11. When watching this race, my 1st thought was, "Get up and get back into the race!"

She didn't look like she was hurt, she could have at least tried. I've seen other runners fall, but were still able to finish strongly. Ucency was too busy feeling sorry for herself.

14. There's absolutely no way she could have gotten back into the race. Even in MUCH longer races..

a fall like that would take you completely out of the race.

16. Then you must have forgotten about the time Lasse Viren fell in the Olympics and still set a world

record!

I take your point and agree that she would have been out of the race. What bothered me was that she didn't even try. She just wallowed in self pity. I remember the great Jim Ryun falling in the 1972 Olympics. He got up limping, but then shook it off and sprinted in for all he was worth, even though he was a half a lap behind everyone else. I'll never forget the effort he put in even tough he had no chance.

...sad. but we will live.

I do have an inquiry.... There is only a difference of 5 hours (ET) I am watching the olympics live....Why is this spoiler word going....I don't get it.

My son lives in England. I have adjusted to the time change.. It is not like it is half way around the world in China.

I can't understand why The USA is not watching live.
