The Saturday Canvassing thread - 43 doors and I think I created an Obama vote in Virginia
9:30 start - a LOT of people were not home.
I got near the end of my list and knocked on the door of a 62 year old woman.
She is dead set on Allen and Cantor but not sure about Romney in fact she doesn't like him.
Me "What issue is it that you don't like about him?"
Her "All this anti Planned Parenthood stuff. Look I'm not that age any more but I don't like what he says about it"
Me (after some flattering talk about The President) "You know Allen and Cantor are the same they all are on Planned Parenthood"
We agreed that I wasn't going to change her mind on them. She really didn't like Time Kaine 
At the end she said "You know what after talking to you I think I WILL vote for Obama"
As I walked away I complimented her on how nice her house looked. She came back out to say "Hey! My neighbors aren't in so they won't be there"
Me "They aren't on my list. We aren't going door to door YOU are just that special to us"
She cracked up.
I finished with "If those Allen people don't come and talk to you...remember that we did"
She laughed again and said that she would keep that in mind.
