The Senate Is Now In Play

September 12, 2018 at 6:23 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 134 Comments

Stuart Rothenberg: “I have argued repeatedly that while the House is up for grabs — and indeed likely to flip to the Democrats in November — the Senate is not in play. I now believe that it is, so I must revise and extend my remarks.”

“Only about three weeks ago, I reiterated my view that Democrats didn’t have a path to a net gain of two Senate seats, which they need for a chamber majority. But a flurry of state and national polls conducted over the past few weeks suggest Democratic prospects have improved noticeably, giving the party a difficult but discernible route for control.”

Democrat has a real chance to win. Independents must feel that their vote has meaning and value against the huge right wing mindset here in Texas,

Our getting out to vote is one, but also working to depress their get out the vote efforts.

It will take a combination of an energized Democratic Party turn out, and a non-energized Republican turn out.

With the exception of 1 weekend in June, I've been canvassing for him every Saturday, and most Sundays.. Working the hell out of the MiniVAN app for both him and Lizzie.

All voters should view the Total Fraud as being backed by any and all GOP candidates. They all signed on to kiss his cottage cheese ass.

Every vote counts. I hope the "suppress the vote" efforts fail. We can't afford to have people running around and calling the Democratic Party the "party of the one-percent". Anyone who says something like that is promoting the false narrative of "both parties are the same"... and that's total bullshit!

When people believe that false narrative and comparison, it's little wonder they don't come out to vote. And it's no surprise that voters aren't motivated to support Democrats when they hear people repeat the lies that Democrats are "feeble" and "corrupt" and "ideologically bankrupt".

It serves no good purpose when our "allies" smear and attack the party (and our candidates) in this way.

All I'm trying to say is that it's destructive and damaging to Democrats when anyone tries to intentionally tarnish our brand and how Democrats are perceived by voters. Those types of short-sighted actions ONLY benefit the GOP... and that benefits Russia.

While I would be glad to take either chamber, if I had my 'druthers, I prefer the Senate because judges.

50/50 whether we'll destroy the republicans this midterm... or whether russia will complete the theft of our country.

(err kinda both could happen... we just wouldn't know the first part if the second part happened)
