Hurricane Harvey aftermath
When a storm gets cut off from any jet current to move it along, the friction from land slows its original forward momentum until it just sits there and spins and drifts around, pulling moisture in from the large body of water that it came from.

As this storm turns into a NothingBurger, we republicans will expose the 'climate chaos' & extreme weather hoaxes that the pointy-headed libs are using to jerk us around. But there was no collusion with my republican fixers and evil empire russia. And there is no climate chaos. Believe me. You can trust us republicans, right? All you whiney lib wimps worried about this little rain 'event' should just shut up and sit down." - Dirty Donny* (R)
