I don't care what you think of her. She is asking a question all the Dems in Congress should be asking.

Could somebody ask Kavanaugh if he has a gambling problem and who paid off the $200k in credit card debt he is carrying?

(108,989 posts)Their spin has been that he bought 60K-200K of baseball tickets for his "friends" and that, after he had carried the debt for years, the friends suddenly paid him back.

(32,699 posts)This looks like a trend among the rightwingers. Buy some very expensiive baseball or football tickets and carry the debt on your credit card. At some later date when you have to explain some extra cash, you can say "Oh yeah, my buddy paid me for some baseball tickets."

Oook then. And thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling great!
Not following right wing conspiracy nuts like Louise Mensch makes one feel grounded. Sorry if I touched a nerve. No reply necessary.

These guys really are pretty irresponsible. I mean, if he does that as an individual, how can we know he won't be playing fast and loose with our interests and our money?

(40,367 posts)DEFINITE: Kavanaughs $60,000 - $200,000 in 2016 debt on 3 credit cards/loan shows appallingly bad judgment.
LIKELY: Spent on baseball tix is a lie.
POSSIBLE: Paid off last year is shady. He didnt change jobs or report finding a big bag of money.

(22,154 posts)nut or not. Irresponsible and putting his family at extreme risk. Perhaps someday the country too?
I wonder about one thing though...how is one able to get access to so much debt? Wouldn't this be the better question? After all, banks don't just loan money out of the goodness of their hearts.
