Newsmax publisher is Trump's friend, he had his BS going. It was either excusing Trump's obvious incompetence and nastiness, or saying or implying Woodward had it wrong. Of course he brings up that no one so far is willing to go public and admit they actually said what they said to Woodward.
Some Trump staffer was just on with Chris Cuomo, and he was spinning furiously that everyone so far is chickening out and not owning their words and basically accusing Woodward of lying or making shite up, etc etc.
I mean, come on, if they were gutsy enough to go public with this scandal, they already would have. Of course they are going to lie and deny it or partially deny it in Kelly's case.
Expect much more of this in the days ahead. They will attack Woodward any way they can.
eta: Now Scaramucci the Mooch is making excuses for him.

(14,565 posts)Cuomo handled him well while Van Jones mostly laughed at the GOP spin
There was far more pro-Woodward and pro-Pressley material than the other way. Cuomo stood at the screen and rattled off one Woodward point after another, with the words onscreen, along with playing the audio of Woodard's phone call with Trump. Then they had a picture of Pressley onscreen for a long time while Cuomo rattled off her accomplishments and Van Jones emphasized that it was a triumph of the aggressive wing of the party after being sick that Hillary played it overly safe.
I seldom recognize the CNN-related threads around here.
Mooch was harmless. He mostly talked about Trump's style opposed to substance, saying the liberal programming focuses on style while American people care about results.

Showing the still frame along with video, rejecting the White House claim that security intervened. He said Kavanaugh intentionally turned away, "and that's the damned truth."
Cuomo said he hoped Kavanaugh wasn't seeing a point of view that he deemed threatening. He said Kavanaugh needed to be asked why, and explain. Cuomo mocked the White House rationale and the video they posted, and called it a matter of "believe your lying eyes BS"
Again, I have no idea why CNN is twisted around here. People who are unable to watch receive a version that doesn't approach reality toward the content.
Almost every time Cuomo hands off to Don Lemon, including tonight, they focus on Trump lies

(37,457 posts)I dashed off the OP without a lot of detail that you're able to supply. I'd rather have Cuomo do his thing the way he does, than him only have on centrist to liberal guests or run roughshod over the Trumpists.
The way Cuomo does it, they absolutely cannot (unless they are lying) accuse CNN and Cuomo of being the much maligned "liberal media". At least people get to see the BS that is spewed by the Republicans and Cuomo does the best he can to confront it. If Cuomo misses something, I'm sure he gets emails of the lies and propaganda he missed.
Some people don't want to watch the Republicans or Trumpists for a variety of personal reasons. I get it. Tonight I can stomach it.
