He said he is happy his story has encouraged talk about the 'dignity' of a job
The star also revealed he has not had an acting job which lasted more than 10 weeks since 1992, when The Cosby Show wrapped
He quit his job last week in light of the unwanted attention he has received

I always have felt bad about the actors on the Cosby shows. While the residuals were not much, they would have been some income that was destroyed by the actions of Bill Cosby.

They do it because they like it, maybe they're even good at it. But the superstars are few and far between, while most actors need a day job to keep the bills paid between gigs. So Geoffrey Owens has done nothing to be ashamed of. And besides, Trader Joe's is an awesome store!
