NBC FAKE NEWS, which is under intense scrutiny over their killing the Harvey Weinstein story, is now fumbling around making excuses for their probably highly unethical conduct. I have long criticized NBC and their journalistic standards-worse than even CNN. Look at their license?

(42,761 posts)And the conduct of the owner of licensed stations can be a consideration in whether those licenses should be renewed/revoked/granted.
That being said, it would be highly improper for the FCC to take into account editorial and content matters in considering an entity's eligibility to hold broadcast licenses and even more improper for a President to suggest that the FCC should do so.

(4,742 posts)MSNBC, CNBC, etc. has no license. They are carried by cable. Good luck pulling a network TV license. Can you imagine the wrath of old ladies who watch the Today Show, the wrath of the younger demos who watch America's Got Talent, etc.?
