The caucus vote is worth more than all of a Senators' other votes put together

"Why should I care about somebody like Manchin who votes against us 80% of the time?"

I'll up those numbers: imagine he voted against our legislation 100% of the time. Doesn't fucking matter. That one vote at the beginning of Congress to assign majority and minority is worth more than literally every other vote a Senator or Represenative makes, put together.

That's what determines committee assignments and leadership. That's the vote that kept Garland off the court and is putting Kavanaugh on it.

We do not have time right now for your feels about the laws somebody will or won't vote on. Literally the only thing that matters about any candidate this cycle is the (D) or (R) after his or her name.

My Representative used to be Heath Shuler. As Democrats go he sucked when you look at much of his voting record.

But you know what onenthing he did that was great? He had a D next to his name. That D helped give us a majority in the House. That meant that the Speaker was Nancy Pelosi. That meant Nancy Pelosi got to choose what did and did not get voted on.

That meant all kinds of good stuff became law. The ACA, Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, so on and so on...

Now I have Mark Meadows.....
