because our country is in such a dire place (that I did not anticipate) that he is the one to step in and take Trump on (that is, if Trump isn't impeached). I still want a woman on the ticket and think Kamala Harris would be wonderful and would provide diversity.
I see Joe as a stabilizing force in an increasingly unstable political atmosphere.
Sometimes, though, I get depressed and think we won't make it to 2020.
I know, I know, first things first: we need to put every effort into the midterms. Absolutely. I will put every effort into our CT midterm election as will my strongly Democratic family members.
Of course, maybe Biden won't want to run in 2020 but if he decides he has to, I will support him in every way I can.

(12,344 posts)The things that stopped him in the past are positively quaint compared to what we have now. He's old, but healthier than Trump and would be able to prove it with a real doctor report plus challenge Trump to a round of gold followed by a boxing match. He's a bit kooky and rough around the edges, but by today's standards, he is a polished rock of stability. He was brought down once by a minor scandal - he plagiarized a report in college. That was apparently the worst thing they could find on him. Unbelievable. It's like a woman showing her ankle in 1900.

(30,481 posts)That would have me voting for Biden. Numerous names are already been put out that I would place higher on my list than Biden, to start. It would be a great day for me if I had the chance to vote for Biden in the general. Doubt I would vote for him in primary, depending on the field.

I am not being nostalgic here when I make this suggestion. We need his gifts to lead the country out of the chaos we have been sunk in.

No to Biden, no to Bernie, no to Kerry, and especially no to Donald fucking Trump.

(1,822 posts)The reason Trump won is b/c people just didnt like Hillary and saw the Clinton brand as being corrupt (true or not). Persoanally i think people would "like" Biden way more than Trump, Obama would come back and campaign for him, he's got experience, plus he could argue that he was there with Obama in bringing the economy back while Trump just took over a good economy and maybe made it a little better.
