FLIPPABLE: Kayser Enneking for FL-SD08
As one of seven children she grew up in Gainesville, graduating from Gainesville High School. After majoring in Molecular Biology at Vanderbilt, Kayser came home to Gainesville to get her M.D. from the University of Florida. There she met and married her husband, Mark Scarborough, MD, after graduating from medical school and had their first of two children the last year of her residency.
Dr. Enneking has been a leader at the national and local level advocating for improving quality and efficiency of our healthcare systems. Her work at UF Health as a practicing physician and healthcare leader have strengthened the quality of care provided to patients in this district.
Kayser was inspired to seek political office by her father who served on the Alachua County School Board in the seventies, helping to integrate Gainesville schools. She is running for her first elected office because she is concerned that Tallahassee politicians have been representing their donors, instead of our families.
