The excuse "Mid-term elections" should not curtail Mueller investigation.

DT is not on the ballot. There isn't anyone that we know being investigated by Mueller. If this was 2020 and DT was still on the ballot that still should not excuse an investigation from being stalled.

The investigation will not be curtailed at all. The only thing that may happen is that new indictments would not be announced until after Nov 6. . No biggie.

Mueller's investigation continues apace. Just don't expect dramatic announcements or indictments from Mueller's team in the 60 days. He and his team will be even more tight lipped than they already are.

"should not excuse it from being stalled". not and from negate each other to make "should excuse it being stalled".

to

"should not cause it being stalled"
or
"should not excuse stalling it".

Mid-term elections count for halting Mueller's work but not for halting the SCOTUS justice confirmation process a la Merrick Garland.

He will just choose to hold off issuing indictments for anyone in the government or US citizens until after the midterms.

If the indictment is for a person or organization outside the US, I say fire away anytime between today and Nov 6.
