No, gloomy gusses, Schumer didn't cave on the judge appointments. Check the NLRB.

He actually got a good deal. Mark Pearce got reappointed to the NLRB in return for not gumming up the works on appointments Schumer ultimately couldn't block anyways.

Nice to see there was more to the deal than benefits on the campaign trail. I imagine we will find out more, as well.

I suspect you’ve been waiting a few years to see what we get for being “the reasonable party.” So have I.

New strategy is needed ASAP. Possibly new leadership in the Senate depending on how the midterms turn out.

down which would have slowed down the SC nominee. 14 in one month is something that should have taken the rest of the YEAR!

President Donald Trump has nominated Mark Gaston Pearce (D) for another term on the National Labor Relations Board.

Republicans retain the majority of seats on the five-member partisan panel, which gives the party greater discretion over workplace policy coming from the NLRB. But Pearce’s renomination is nonetheless a significant and surprising victory for worker advocates and Democrats. The White House made the move despite sharp and near-unanimous criticism of Pearce by Republicans and the business community, and an established practice of leaving seats open in order for an administration to keep their party’s majority.

“Practically speaking, the renomination will have a substantive impact on Board procedures and decisions if Pearce is confirmed by the U.S. Senate for another term,” Jerry Hunter, a former Republican NLRB general counsel, told Bloomberg Law Aug. 29.

Some people here are determined to think the worst of Democrats. Don't confuse them with facts.
