Andrew Gillum is awesome. Hillary Clinton is awesome. Bernie Sanders is awesome.

I mean, they're all awesome in different ways and for different reasons, but ...

One of apparently many cool things about Andrew Gillum, is that he's evidence that liking and supporting Hillary Clinton (whom he endorsed in the 2016 primary) and liking and supporting Bernie Sanders (whom he thanked for helping him to his historic win last night) aren't remotely mutually exclusive. Sometimes reading DU makes it easy to forget that.

Yay team!

Put those three up against the top 100% of the r partys best candidates times 10000000000000000000000000000000000. Get my point?

Great post! The Democratic party is like a group of cats, completely unable to control. Some are going to say/do things we disagree with. Some are going to say/do things we completely agree with. This includes our independent allies that caucus with the party. Especially the ones who have leadership positions within our party. If our party gave these people leadership positions, I will support the Dems by supporting their decision and supporting their choice. It's time to put the primaries behind us. If you disagree with a statement or action? Cool. But if you're slinging mud at Democratic party leadership and anyone associated with them, it's time to put that shit away. If you hear, "he/she's not a Democrat" coming out of your mouth and the person holds a leadership position within our party or is the Democrat on the DEMOCRATIC TICKET, you aren't supporting our party.

Furthermore, for my fellow Bernie supporters. Trying to rub the win of a Bernie backed candidate in the faces of our Democratic party allies isn't doing us any good either. As good as it admittedly feels (and I've been guilty too....), it ain't helping the big pic, dig? Put a sock in it. We all need to put this crap in check (again, myself included. I'm not an innocent babe in the woods. Although, I must admit, if ya seen my pics, I am quite the babe....:laughing We are the only thing standing in the way of Fascism. Period.

In short, I guess what I'm trying to say is we need to put our differences aside. Yes, Bernie says shit some here don't like. But he does hold a leadership position in our party and he votes with the party more than some "official democrats". And yes, some Democratic leaders make decisions that we may not agree with, or seem "to old" to represent a changing demographic. But regardless, ya wanna vote for Bernie Sanders or Mitch McConnell? Nancy Pelosi or Devin fucking Nunes. If you picked the latter in either case, you aren't supporting our party.

He handled Chuck Todd and his asinine smirk with ease. This young man has talent. Chuck Todd try to nail him on why should Trump impeached after all he is running for Governor of Florida. He turned that around handily. Todd’s next attempt at gotcha seems there is an FBI investigation in Tallahassee. Just shows you liberal Democrats support the rule of law. I am jealous of Florida, they elect him Governor I may have to cancel my 25+ year Florida vacation boycott.

His response was fine except he was clearly uncomfortable for the first time, with plenty of pauses and "uh" and "um" before he made the point.

Gillum is going to be hammered on that topic repeatedly so he has to find a comfort zone and a confident response. He can't be like Hillary with the emails, where she knew it was overblown but her summaries never satisfied the masses.

Chuck Todd actually took it very easy on him, compared to how that issue will be posed by others, with more detail.

Overall it was an excellent appearance

We all know how the right wing is going to donate BIG bucks to Ron DeRacist's campaign -- directly or indirectly. They realize what's at stake here in the Sunshine State.

And so should we!

A radio news report this morning mentioned how Democratic voters outnumber Republicans here, but those numbers somehow don't materialize into votes. That must change this November!!

If we Democrats are going send a clear message to the 21st Century Carpetbaggers, we need the dollars to get our message out, and mobilize at the grassroots level.

PLEASE visit https://andrewgillum.com/ and make a donation. Small or large. Every penny counts. We need to send a crystal clear message to everyone in Florida, the rest of the nation, and especially to agolf twittler, that we are moving forward, not backward. I donated yesterday and will follow up -- I need a yard sign.

Oh, and he has an adorable family!
