Sanders endorsing, campaigning for, and congratulating a candidate on his win = "taking credit for" his success.

Some are so blinded by their permanent rage toward Sanders that the mere mention of his name sets them off.

Glad to see your emphasis on Gillum's connection to Hillary as well as Bernie, though -- obviously he's both a progressive AND a Democrat, and his victory in November would be a political earthquake. I hope this is the year for both him and Stacey Abrams. Two former slave states with Black governors would be a massive repudiation of white supremacy.
