Early Tuesday morning a motorist was shot and killed by a Uber driver in
rural Polk County Florida in what is being called justifiable homicide at this
time. Law enforcement is calling a "stand your ground" case for now. The
deceased driver was allegedly following and harassing the Uber driver.
There were no other witnesses other than the two parties involved.
I wasn't aware Uber drivers packed heat.

Man is fighting with his ex girlfriend at the bar and had been stalking her. Man has history of violence and is currently on probation.
Man thinks its his girlfriend he is fighting with in the Uber, but its actually not. Nobody in the car knows him at all.
Man tailgates the car he thinks his girlfriend is in, tries to run them off the road then pulls in front and forces them to stop. Gets out and aggressively walks toward the car yelling he has a gun and making threats to shoot the people in the car. While holding his cellphone out in his hand aiming it like its a gun.
Uber driver shoots the man as he approached the car.
After the shooting the Uber driver renders first aid and calls 911.
After the incident police find texts the man sent to his estranged girlfriend saying he was going to beat up the Uber driver in addition to many threats to the girlfriend.
Uber driver turns to be a licensed CCW holder and recent police academy grad but not yet hired with any department. Violent abusive guy picked the wrong car to try and start his crap with and it ended poorly for him.
Textbook self defense case.

"Uber driver turns to be aicebsed CCW". I think the CCW is concealed carry, but what about the other part?
